Song of the Day: Dandy Warhols - Bohemian Like You
I really love the bassline in this song.
I remember the first time I heard it, I was sitting on the bed in our hotel room in Milan, and I had the tv on to alleviate some boredom. Everything was in Italian, of course, so I couldn't understand a thing that was going on. A commercial break came on and an ad for Vodafone played this song. From then on I was always trying to find the name of it. Its funny the things you remember. Today, I heard the song this morning and it made me smile.
Yesterday I went to my first Italian lesson. It was weird - a room full of strangers and within an hour we were all conversing with each other in a different language pretty freely. Most people seemed to be travelling to Italy soon, or wanting to, so I had plenty to talk about and not nearly enough time to do it :) I picked up a fair few new phrases, and once you get over the initial embarrassed feeling of speaking in another language, it’s a lot of fun. And hey, its something to do that beats sitting in front of your pc spastically drawing random lines in a desperate quest for popularity.
But that’s just me.
