It's about 30 minutes til I leave for Glasgow..
Karen and I are off to Scotland for a couple of days for a bit of r & r (ha! who are we kidding? its gunna be hellish). We're going to Glasgow first, then will take the train to Edinburgh hopefully. Drink lots of whiskey, flirt with Glaswegian boys (god how I love Scottish accents), laugh a lot and just cut loose. Fucking excellent.
Yesterday we finished a panic project at work. 2 days to write a website, complete with some interactive online stuff. Our team kicked ass, but I am especially proud of how we pulled together to get this done. Wanna see? Click here for a wee look. Fuckit it looks good.. and thats one of the most satisfying parts of my job. At the end of the day I've created something tangible, something has come out of the blood sweat and tears (and believe me, this week it was just that). Finished up past 8 at work, then round the corner to the Talbot for a few jars with a couple workmates. Excellent. Got pleasantly sozzled, but not too much, and then off home to sleep in this morning (day off).
Now all I gotta do is figure out how to get from here (Islington) to Liverpool St via bus. Am meeting Karen there and then catching the Stansted Express to Stansted. Express my ass. I love ya, London, but I can't wait to leave you. If only for a few days.
We'll be back Saturday, though. Sharon, Karen and I are going out but to be honest I dunno if I'll be able to make it after Scotland. Screw it, you're only young once. And I'm already thinking about the next trip... Easyjet fly to Budapest now. Could be a goer?
To everyone stuck in this city for the weekend, have a good one. To those of you still counting the days til you get here (hurry UP Jason!!!) enjoy the heat whilst it lasts. Cos you won't ever be warm again :) And for everyone else.. take care.
