Whew what a week!
Last week I started my new job and it all seems to be going great. My coworkers are lovely, my job is as expected, and there is plenty of eye candy around the office to keep me amused (hey, I'm only human!).
So Friday night I went out for after work drinks with the crew. It always starts as "just a quick one" but it never turns out that way. Several bottles of wine later and I'm ashamed to say I probably said far too much to the new boss. He came into work yesterday and claims he can't remember anything about the whole night, which I'm eternally thankful to God for.
Saturday night I went out with my truly cool friend Sharon who decided that I needed a bit of a cheering up in a meat-market like atmosphere. So off we went to TigerTiger with Sharon's friend Michelle for a night of drunken debauchery (my specialty!). I could not believe the place. Honestly, if you want to get laid in London, this is the place to come. Split over 4 levels, the place was heaving. I was having a terrific time dancing and checking out the people in the crowd, but towards shutting up time it became quite sleazy. Met a couple of guys from Glasgow and I swear to god, I have no idea what they were saying but damn that accent is sexy. (My housemate Michael disowned me when I admitted this!) I didn't get terribly drunk that night - I think my liver was working against me after the Wine Bar Fiasco on Friday.
And so, with another week starting, things are looking up. Job is great, personal life is definately getting better.. and the best news of all... Karma caught up with an old "friend" (and I use the term VERY loosely) in the shape of a pink slip (as in, lost their job). Result! I love karma... I love it even more when someone gets what they deserve.
But such is life :)
